Cabins at Koke`e Park- Historic in nature, the Cabins reside in Koke`e Park and provide for exceptional scenery and front door access to the park’s trails and treasures. A lack of leadership and entrepreneurial spirit had the cabins at 35% occupancy and online reputation of the worst type in the industry. Other challenges to the location were a lack of cellular and internet coverage as well as a shortage of available labor due to commute times. With a pipeline of energy and enthusiasm, we restructured the failing operations and turned around the online reputation. The eleven units now operate with good profit at maximum capacity and maximum smiles.

Mainstreet-Part time paid position with West Kauai Business and Professional Association (WKBPA). Day to day duties included management of historic preservation and business support programs and their coordination with a large group. In-depth involvement with budgeting, marketing, community planning, and economic analysis of Waimea’s business district. I was the catalyst for restart of this dormant program and recruited 22 paying member businesses.
